Hmmm, a Purposeless Life

Still watching Bones, almost through season 2.

According to Gordon Gordon, Brennan didn't sail off with Sully because she's 'incapable of leading a purposeless life,' at this stage. Consensus seems to be that she should've gone. It would've been good for her.

I find it ironic, because I can't honestly remember the last time I had a purpose. Is that good for me?

Also, thanks to everyone who replied to my question about Zack. I'm waiting to reply until I actually see what happens to him, but I get the feeling I won't like it.

The music on this show is really awesome as well. Does anyone know if there's a place where I can get it? I haven't searched iTunes, which seems to have everything of that nature, because nothing I buy on iTunes plays on my .mp3 player. I hate iTunes. So, anyplace other than iTunes?

A lot of SPN alum on Bones, too. Although, I think most of them were on Bones first. I only recognize them because of SPN, though. So far, Rachel Miner, Aldis Hodge, Fred Lehne, and now, A.J. Buckley. Ah, to be a secondary character actor in Hollywood.

*goes back to marathoning Bones and having no purpose.*

OHHHH, and does anyone know about the spn_mardigras? I used to be flattered to be invited to join communities, but lately I've been getting a lot of random invites that just feel like spam. Who is running this comm, and what makes him/her think I know the first thing about Mardi Gras? And where did he/she get my name, because it seems like most of my friends know that I'm not really writing spn fic anymore? If this is one of my friends, then I apologize, but I haven't seen this pimped anywhere on my flist, so I am admittedly skeptical. I sometimes wonder if LJ is selling userinfo like spam mailers sell mailing lists, because I seem to get the most random things through here anymore. That's not even counting all the random spam comments on old fic that have been pouring in over the last couple days. I just do not get it.

Final ETA: Here's a Bones soundtrack on Amazon. It does have some of the best songs, but there are still some I wish were on there that aren't, and I don't know why they need two versions of the theme song on it.

i am really sorry i certainly didn't mean to upset you by issuing you an invite to this community. i just set it up this evening with this moderator lj and the community site so its not 'pimped' in any comms yet, i sent you an invite as i've read some of your stories and thought they were good and well done and thought you might enjoy participating. there was no intent to spam you, and as mardi gras is on the 8th of March i wanted to let people know about the comm quickly by issuing the invites directly. again i apologize that it upset you. i wanted to make the comm about the subject, not about who is setting it up, and again i'm sorry that also upset you.

No, I didn't mean to appear upset. It's just that I'm just used to receiving invites from people I know. And the first couple of times I received invites from 'mod' usernames, it turned out they didn't even know who I was and were just inviting me because I was on someone else's flist. So, it does make me feel a lot better than you've at least read some stories and wanted to include me. However, as I mentioned, I don't really write SPN fic anymore. Ah, who am I kidding? I don't really write anything anymore. LOL. Thanks for explaining, and I hope there are no hard feelings, but I still don't know who you are, *is making squinty eyes*

and i don't suppose you'd want to use this as a little spark of inspiration moment to um...write something new...you know, take a little mental vacation to new orleans and carnival...i always find i learn a lot when i research places and cultures for stories :>

Haha, funny you should say that, because waaaaaaay back in season 1, I had a little series of about 3 fics that were based on the premise that Dean's really a revenant, and I used the line about him having worked a solo case in New Orleans as supporting canon. LOL. I actually thought of that when I saw this premise, but I highly doubt I'll get another inspiration like that one.

I actually got the Bones soundtrack as a free download from emusic years ago, but was kind of disappointed by it. I really felt like they left a lot of good songs off and put others on there that weren't that good.

Unfortunately spam has been really prevalent on LJ in the last several months. I've had to change settings on just about all my comms to try to battle it.

Yeah, I remember hearing some good Fray music, some Damien Rice, and a ton of great stuff that isn't on the soundtrack, but the stuff that's on the soundtrack is pretty hard to find elsewhere, so I'm glad they compiled it. I just wish there was, at least, a list somewhere of all the music so I could hunt down the songs individually.

I don't know what is up with the spam either. They keep commenting on the same old stories. *shrugs*

Which season episode was that, the one where AJ Buckley guest-starred in? I started watching Bones during season 3 and haven't got the time to watch the first two seasons yet.

I believe it was season 2, toward the end. The title was something on the order of The Glowing Skeleton in the Old Stone House. That's probably not the actual title, but close enough.
