I'm all out of eggs and mostly broke, and I don't want to go buy any if I don't have to. But anyhow, does anyone know if you can use Egg Nog in pancake batter. LOL. It's mostly eggs and cream, right? Should work fine...

Anyone? LOL.

LOL. Well, there's not liquor in this egg nog. That's still in the freezer. LOL. But hey, that's a thought... :D

so, how did those pancakes turn out? did you use the non-alcoholic version of the egg nog?

i'm especially hopeless in the kitchen. however my scrambled eggs are pretty damm good. i like adding stuff to them. shallots are good. so is tofu. tried tomatoes but they were a little too soggy. but i've always wanted to try and make pancakes...so kudos to someone who can make pancakes(sans eggs and all).

I know you can make Egg Nog pancakes, but every recipe I've seen calls for at least one egg, too. I think the biggest problem with not having an egg is the consistency, so if you use just the Egg Nog you'll want to add it slowly, and not put as much of the other liquids in. Also, I know you can use bananas or applesauce as a substitute for eggs, if you have either of those.

Ooh, I do have some bananas that are getting on the overripe side. So, egg nog and banana pancakes. Did I mention they will be gluten free as well? Hahaha. I will let you know.

LOL, you said it! BIL ate all the eggs. It's sad, y'know, cuz we buy like a dozen and a half every week. Hubby and I eat cereal for breakfast. BIL eats bacon and eggs. :/ And then, when we need eggs for anything, they're gone. Same with coffee. I swear we have to make extra trips to the store to buy coffee at least once a week, and we buy the biggest container they sell. Meh. Whatcha gonna do? Why, you learn to make pancakes without eggs, that's what ya do! :D

Sometimes you just have to recognize there are some things that are never going to change. I guess it's better to be resigned than to be cynical. (But being cynical is a lot more fun, I gotta say.)

*glomps you*

uh, whats wrong with extra trips to get coffee? and jalepenos? This kitty thinks the companies need to get a clue and sell these things in larger containers, like 5 gallon buckets maybe....

LOL, well I wouldn't so much mind the extra trips, except the person who drinks most doesn't buy any of it. :/ And here's a tip for kitty. When cooking with jalapenos, always wash your paws before using the litter box. :D
