Word to the Wise...

If a Mexican friend offers you 'candy' that comes in a little clear cellophane wrapper with what looks like a giant rabbit turd inside, do not eat it. LOL. This ranks right up there with the time a lady gave me head cheese without telling me what it was.

Erm, I'm not sure what this candy is supposed to be. It said something like PicoGormans??? on it. I swear it tasted like ABC snuff.

So, that's your PSA for the day. Beware the Mexican candy. Although, anything that says dulce leche on it is usually pretty yummy. :P And if there's a pepper on the label, that's not just decoration. :S

Also: UGH, I could not be more depressed right now. Why can't I be happy? And I love how people think I'm unhappy because I had it all wrong, when the fact is, I had it all right, but just had faith it couldn't possibly be as bad as all that. Screw faith. That's the real PSA.

Yeah, in general, Mexican candy is something to be avoided like the plague. When I was in Mexico, it all tended to be dyed the color of the Mexican flag and quite scary-looking.

Well, this one wasn't pepper-flavored, but I have had Mexican candy that had hot peppers in it. Rabbit turd might've tasted better. LOL.

Ummm, lol. I'm just still in a slump post finale. I tried to get over it, but it's not happening. What a terribly-written way to destroy everything I liked about the show. I'll be honest, the only reason I haven't deleted this journal is because I signed up for summergen and I know there are a ton of samgirls out there keeping score of their awesomeness based on how many deangirls leave fandom after that.

Hehe - my sons tried to poison me with some Pulparindo, another Mexican treat to approach with caution. Oddly, one of my friends tasted it for the first time and adores it. It's tamarind pulp and peppers, and it made me cuss and cry.

Y'know, now that you describe it, that could very well be what it was I ate. Because I remember thinking it seemed like the pulp of something, but my mind automatically went to chewing tobacco, because that's one of those things my grandpa did when I was a kid that always seemed to smell so good, but when he gave me a chaw, I wanted to die. LOL.
