chocca2 and I are doing a cowrite this time around, and it's GEN, OMG! Ugh, I feel like such an outsider reading the list, haha, but that's nothing new for me, yes?

What are we gonna be writing, you ask? Um, like the darkest thing I've ever attempted in my life. People might die from it. J/K. But seriously I think on some of the scenes we've got planned and wonder how many times people will hit the back button. Gonna need some serious warnings, methinks. Imagine Mystery Spot without the funny. But I'm sooo excited about it.

"World So Cold," by 12 Stones and "Dead Skin" by crossfade... only yeah... Sam and Dean. LOL.

Today, life is pretty decent.

I know! I don't read Gen either! I fail. But I have this idea which could easily be Sam/Dean and too many other projects to tackle and still give it the attention it deserves. I promised to keep it Gen if Nat would write with me. (That's not to say I won't write some deleted/alternate scenes) LOL.

I have a bunch of Gen stuff floating around, but I always worry it's not Gen ENOUGH, cuz yeah... In fact, someone was looking for one of my stories on storyfinders the other day and totally called it a wincest story and it's Gen. So, yeah, their relationship definitely leans whichever direction you wanna read it, and we all know how I'll be reading it.

I wish I could convince myself to do a Big Bang. But I feel like I'd need to come up with something really ORIGINAL and want to dedicate so much time and energy to it and my mind is just a big blank slate right now. Grr.

In my very first fanfic there was the tiniest of glimpse of maybe-future-slash but since then my SPN-stuff has been strictly Gen. :D Maybe because I love the really little WeeChesters in all their innocent fluffy glory. *g*

However, I'm doing AU since I can't quite tackle the "real" Winchesters yet. And besides, I hate to get my "canon" overrun by the show. :)

Ugh, I hate when my 'canon' gets overrun by the show, too. That's one of the downers about the fic we're doing this year, cuz there's a lot of plot and speculation. Nothing that I'd actually LIKE to see happen to the Winchesters, but still will be personal because it came from us. It's hard to see that get Kripked. Sigh. And I'm sure it all will, bwhahaha!

I was just telling tracer you just need like 2 to 300 words a day to make 20000 words before the rough drafts are due. With our outline, we'll have no problem doing that. Fleshing it out is gonna be the fun part. I'm excited, like whoa!

Hmm, I think we kinda have to not talk too much about details so we don't bias any artists on our flists with info, lol. But i'm already dreading how we're gonna write a summary for this thing. *picks brain*

Y'know, there's no shame in starting and then not finishing, but if you hit a lull in mid-summer and everyone else is posting you'll feel left out, now won't ya? *pokes* But seriously, like I told tracer, a rough draft would only require you to jot down about 2 to 300 words a day between now and May. I can set the Dr. Wicked Timer for 15 minutes and get nearly 500 without even trying.

Um, good question. To be honest, if I was writing this on my own, it would be slashy as all hell. But I have too many things working and don't have time to do this justice. chocca2 said she'd suck it up if I really wanted to write slash, but I wouldn't torture anyone, lol. It can just as easily be Gen, so Gen it will be. There's plenty of other drama in it that I don't have to worry about it being boring without the sex and love aspect. At least, I think so.
