POV woes

Y'know, it's really no secret that I hate anything written in first person POV, but as I try to work through yet another m/m sex scene, I'm gaining an appreciation for why people seem to do it so often. I mean, having the option of a whole other pronoun set to keep from having to constantly plug in the names is becoming more and more appealing all the time. It's hard enough keeping the he, his, and hims straight in a two man scene. Try it with three.

*grumble, grumble*

Still don't think I could ever do 1st person, though. Why write something you don't like to read?

LOL! Oh yeah, I hear you loud and clear on both front of this one.

I always have to sit back and admire well written threesome p0rn. :P I have enough trouble when it's just two men, trying to write three in an intimate scene, let alone p0rn is 'tear you hair out' frustration. :P

I can't do first person either. It's one of the reasons I haven't been able to read the Sookie Stackhouse books that True Blood was mostly based on. Just can't do first person over a huge fic. I have to love the writer to grit my teeth and haul through it. I have read some decent ones, but just find it really difficult POV to get into and stay within the world. At least it's not just me! :P

Baha best way to do threesomes, I've found, is a kind of second-person/first person split. Then you have 'I', 'you', and 's/he'.
