First, I have a new layout. And I love it. So there. [livejournal.com profile] tru_faith_lost

Second, unless I die or fail to make the fundraising goal ($3900.00) I'm planning to run the Chicago Marathon next October. And yes, it's the same weekend as Chicago Con. Maybe I can get them to sign my race bib. :|a

Anyway, it has begun. If this kind of thing annoys you, defriend or filter out. Whatever trips your trigger.

Here's where I am in my training. Week 10. Which means, four miles today. Right after my nap and strength training. Here's hoping I don't sleep through Supernatural tonight.

Basically what it says.

P.S. Because I seem to have developed a ravaging case of unfulfilled expectationsitis that is sucking the life out of my muse, any fic I post for the time being will likely be WIP and posted with comments disabled. The end.

Ooh, the new layout is uber colourful. I like it. It's really energetic ... I was intending to change my layout tonight ... I started playing with it last week and gave up, and even though I hate it I can't make myself pull my finger out.

God, marathon. I feel proud of you and you haven't even done it yet...

The schedule's interesting. I thought it would be the same mileage on consecutive days, gradually increasing, but Sundays seem to be one hell of a slog and Saturdays really easy by comparison. (Easy - harken to me. Since when is a 3 or 4 mile run easy? Though you may take it in stride these days lol)

Hm, yeah, I think it's like, Long Run, then Recovery Run, building for three weeks with the longest runs being on Sundays, which kinda sucks, because I often work on Sundays, but what can you do? The sources suggest having a base mileage of 35 miles per week before starting a marathon schedule and taking around 24 weeks for the marathon schedule, so I need to be at 35 miles per week by April.

I rather like this layout. First one I've ever had with no header and no SPN except in the mood theme. I also re-installed custom comment pages.

Also, I'm working on that beta for you. I had a moment when I thought I accidentally deleted the email when I cleaned out my box and forgot to take the attachment off, but it turned out I did have it. *phew*

Oh, believe me, I noticed the lack of Mr A. Not quite prepared to give up Jensen ... though I may incorporate something a little more personal into my layout next time. Only have a hint of the Ackles... but then I have to make myself do it .. maybe on the weekend?

I guess there aren't any days that you regularly don't work? I mean, if there was you could just shift the schedule so that your longest run was on those days. But you'd have thought of that if it was the case.

Are you a morning runner or an evening runner or an any time I have the time runner? I know a lot of people run before work - does it envigorate or exhaust? (As you can tell, I may have looked at and bookmarked that C25K website, but I haven't done anything about it yet. Going to see the doc on Monday about the foot. It's strange, but I'm thinking that if it's arthritis it may be just when it's cold... it's a possibility.
