Something Gold Soundtrack

I've never done a soundtrack before, but I had a few songs in mind, being that the original prompt was the first song on the track. I started asking around, and who knew there were so many songs that would fit with this story? This is a zip file, about 160MB. All the songs are Sam POV, since that's how the story is written. I hope there are at least a few on here that you haven't heard and learn to love.
Again, many thanks to
3rd_leg who sent me or recced me at least half of the songs on this list. Anything that's awesome and not a cheesy 80's song or a chick song was totally hers first.
And the art is all
bittersweet_art. She's amazing! You can snag it here, just don't hotlink, and if there's enough demand, I'll upload it in a zip file for you.

Note: This file is missing two songs due to changing computers and whatnot. The missing songs are Susan Enan's "Bring on the Wonder," and Sarah McLachlan's "Witness." I have Witness on my comp, just forgot to put it in the file if anyone desperately wants it, but I can't find Bring on the Wonder anywhere, and it makes me sad, because I love that song.

01- The Way, Fastball
02- Unholy, Dirty, and Beautiful , David Usher
03- Gone, Switchfoot
04- Rain, Breaking Benjamin

But I trust that this music will fit the tale. Trust that you've selected sounds to enhance the words .. I can hardly wait.

Date: 2010-03-14 06:02 am (UTC)The one song your fic makes me think of, concerning human ingenuity in the face of bleak apocalyptic circumstances is the rough-edged dirge, 'Black Powder and Alcohol' by Leslie Fish. Do you know of it? :)
