Lulz, I really wish Misha hadn't pointed out that Birmingham has the highest concentration of swine flu in Europe... I mean I KNEW it but... *waves hand* Ack. Now I don't quite want to go up there as much!

I know, the swine flu thing is kinda scary, and the boys do really put themselves out there in that kind of environment. People are mostly being pretty understanding from the sound of the tweets, so why do I actually want fic where one of 'em has swine flu, and the other one gets all worried. I mean, the statistics are that most people really do just fine with it, but they are in the age group that mysteriously seems to have a hard time, so I bet there'd be lots of worry and angst even if it turned out to just be a cold. Ack! Stupid h/c bug. I need to squash the damned thing.

Lulz, sweetheart, nothing would keep me from going up north! I'm getting my teeth done and going to see "Chicago" on stage (for the third time in 2 weeks. Shhh, I'm totally not obsessive). So there is plenty of fun to be had. As long as I avoid... people who might have swine flu. ^_^

Honey, I am British - Scottish, actually, and I couldn't understand a word of those videos! The sound quality was pretty horrific, cos I couldn't make out most of what the Js were saying, either. Or I'm just going deaf... Hopefully some kind soul will post a transcript, cos that was like listening to Swahili spoken with an Italian accent. And since Swine Flu is airborne, the whole no-touching rule is pointless - if that is indeed why that rule is in place. Seems more likely that it's becoming standard practice like at the Oz Con.

Well, thank goodness it isn't just my ears. My theory is bad acoustics in the room. Im going with that. LOL. The Twitter trends are making for excellent transcripts, but it would be nice to have it all in one document instead of twenty thousand comments of 140 characters or less.

True about the Swine flu thing. But I can still see taking precautions. To be honest, I've always thought con rules were too lax with regards to physical contact with the boys. But that's a very unpopular opinion, I know. :S

I very seldomly watch con-videos. I just don't have patience for the mubmling and shouting and that annoying shrill laugh from the person right infront of the camera. Heh, I think it's awesome that people share, though, I just prefer the transcripts ;)

Omg! I understand! I kept reading "Need swine flu, cuz I'm a sick, sick puppy". My eyes kept missing the "fic" part and I was stuck with a baffled "I'm not sure how to respond to that"! I'm using Twitter as my running transcript. A few of my friends have been excellent about giving blow by blow commentary. I love it. But even when I kinda know what's being said, I can't pick it out from watching the video. Which makes me sad.

Who got Lasik? Jensen? 'Cause I know he sometimes wears glasses (I've seen behind the scenes pics). I LOVE him in glasses, it adds to his Hotness factor.

Vid quality always seems to be poor at cons. I can understand though, it's mostly done by amateurs. I'm not expecting Spielburg levels of filmography.

And the Dark Angel episode 'The Berrisford Agenda' in which Jensen's character Alec pretends to be a piano tutor to get close to a person he's supposed to assassinate. He wears glasses in several key scenes in that episode and they are HOT!!!!!

I think this might be the problem. I can generally understand most English accents (my B-i-L is English), but on most of the vids from this one I can't catch but every 4 or 5 words. It's frustrating.

LOL I love that people still call it swine flu even though they tried to rename it. As for h/c fic about it, heheh it really isn't that much different from regular flu so far outside of Mexico, that I'm aware of. But I have been on vacation for 1.5 weeks so I'm not sure what's been going on recently.

Lasik... LOL I'm still not convinced about that, and I like my eyeballs and would prefer to keep what's left of my vision rather than risk developing something that lenses can't correct... But I guess I can sympathize as to why it would be simpler to have it done and not have to worry about glasses and contacts...
