Yeah, well, THIS Sam was a cranky drunk. I was originally gonna just chalk it up to having been played for a fool by Jake and then Dean, and as always, by the Demon, of course, but I had more fun making it a drunken rant. Hope that worked for ya.
And the gun thing. I think Kripke left that whole scene wide open for interpretation by the way it was filmed and cut. Will be interesting to see how they approach Sam's powers in the next season with the Demon dead, whether that will have been the last hurrah, or just the opening of Pandora's box where the whammy is concerned.
