Anyone see that Movie?

So, there was this movie, called, I think, The Seventh Sign, and it starred Demi Moore, and possibly Michael Biehn. It was about the seven signs of the Apocalypse. Demi Moore was a pregnant woman who was also, possibly, the reincarnation of someone who was present at the crucifixion, LOL.
The relevant part of the movie being that she was about to have a baby but the Hall of Souls was empty, which they knew because the sparrows were dying or something crazy like that.
Remember how that one ended?
So, at the end of the movie, she was giving birth, but the baby was stillborn because it had no soul. Throughout the movie, she was having flashbacks of being at the crucifixion and being asked if she would 'die for him,' and in her flashbacks, she never said yes. But, at the end of the movie, when her baby was born with no soul, she said, "Yes, I will die for him," and then she did, and her baby lived, and the Apocalypse was thwarted.
Okay, so I' not gonna say how that might be relevant to SPN, because that would be a much sadder ending than the one I posted about a few days ago. LOL. But, hey, if they're gonna throw souls into the mix, I'm gonna start checking my mental context for souls, and that came to me. I wish I never saw that movie. :(

Date: 2010-11-03 08:42 pm (UTC)I loved that movie. :) Although, I must admit, a years-later rewatch didn't stand up quite so favourably alongside a likewise-years-later rewatch of The Prophesy when D & I rented them together a coupla years back for a comparison.
And yes, Michael Biehn. MmmmichaelBiehn...

Date: 2010-11-03 08:55 pm (UTC)Strangely, I don't think I've ever seen EotS. And even stranger, although, yeah, I'm no fan of Bale, he's actually become one of those actors whose movies I now implicitly trust. I'll go to see soomit of his without knowing anything else about it, simply because his judgement (in choosing scripts/projects) has won me over. I've yet to see a movie of his that I haven't enjoyed. How does that work? :D

Date: 2010-11-03 09:12 pm (UTC)Oh, we adore Reign Of Fire in this household! :D The only decent thing Matthew McGonahaghorhoweverthefuckit'sspelt ever bloody did. Heh. But it's Gerard Butler that makes it. Him, and the snuggly jumpers the lads are wearing. X-)
*giggle* That was a first. I just had a brain-block on Butler's surname and had to ask D (who is notoriously badbadBAD with names). My exact words were "Scottish bloke - Gerard - SPARTA!". I think I need some coffee now...

Date: 2010-11-03 08:54 pm (UTC)Okay .. so we're theorising about souls right? Hmmmm.... *ponders the options*
All I can come up with is 'when hell is full the dead will walk the Earth' ... gah. 'Dawn of the Dead' get out of my head!

Date: 2010-11-03 09:14 pm (UTC)I am of the opinion right now that there is no way for this series to end happily, AT ALL. EVER. D: Dean is in the worst place he has EVER been, EVER, and he seems to genuinely hate Sam now. D: I feel like Cas has more sympathy for Sam and may have to school Dean before this season is over. Which, if he did, he would finally stop feeling extraneous, like the third wheel, to me....

Date: 2010-11-04 07:21 am (UTC)I remember it well! I even quite enjoyed it when I watched it as a teen, but yeah, didn't quite stand up to re-watching! :P
I must admit I did think of this one when S5 was happen but didn't think of it with the whole no soul connection! *slaps forehead*
The so better bloody not! I will be really cranking if they go that line in any shape or form. :(
I love you thinking posts though. I didn't get to comment to the last one *glares at hectic RL* but I love how you mind works. *snuggles up next to it to bask in the awesomeness* :D
