Chinese Zodiac Sign

I usually don't pay much attention to this kinda stuff, but I always wondered what I was. And now I know. I think I pretty much agree with what it says, except for the Wood part. LOL.

Personality
Occupying the 3rd position on the Chinese Zodiac, the Tiger symbolizes such character traits as bravery, competitiveness and unpredictability. Tigers love to be challenged and will accept any challenge if it means protecting a loved one or protecting their honor. They don’t worry about the outcome because they know they’ll always land on their feet. Don’t let their calm appearance fool you though; Tigers will pounce when they feel it’s necessary.

Born to lead, Tigers can be stubborn if they realize they’re not in charge. They have a slight tendency to be selfish but overall, Tigers are extremely generous. They’re very intelligent and they’re always on alert. Tigers are very charming and are well-liked by others. They are not motivated by money or power.

Health
As they do their enemies, Tigers have a tendency to pounce on their work. Afterwards, they’re left feeling exhausted. Although they’ll soon bounce right back, over time this approach can cause problems with their health. Tigers need to develop a more balanced approach to life so they can utilize their energy more efficiently.

Career
Tigers have a continual need to be challenged which may explain why they jump from job to job. This isn’t necessarily a problem because they’re smart and able to quickly master new subjects. The best jobs for Tigers are those that will lead them towards positions of leadership. Some suitable careers for Tigers include: advertising agent, office manager, travel agent, actor, writer, artist, pilot, flight attendant, musician, comedian and chauffeur.

Relationships
Creative in their passion, Tigers will never bore their partners. They’re expressive, polite and trustworthy, but watch out. Tigers tend to dominate their relationships. This tendency is instinctive and when monitored closely, such behavior can be kept under control. Partners need to be equally active to keep up with the Tiger’s sense of adventure.

Tigers and the 5 elements
Wood Tiger – Years 1914 and 1974 Not feeling the need to be in charge, Wood Tigers work well with others. Others enjoying being around Wood Tigers because they’re very giving individuals. They’re compassionate and willing to do whatever is necessary to help others.

Tigers are compatible with a Dog and a Horse and are incompatible with a Goat and an Ox.

I'm a rat - did I ever mention I was a rat?

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I always had you pegged for a rat, what with your whiskers and sharp little teeth. *puts out poison* Bwahahahaha!

God, I just heard about Kim Manners. It's hard to be funny now.

I know .. never met the man but sometimes it feels like you have when you think about them, or hear about them, so often. I imagine the cast and crew not being completely with it today ... on the other hand, in honor of the man, they may just work the hardest they've ever worked.

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. I just think of all the times I've heard him mentioned in interviews and such, and I've only seen a picture once or twice, but it still seems... weird. I got an email from Heather, checked my flist to see if anyone else had heard it in hopes it was a rumor, and nope, everyone's posted about it. I don't know what I feel about it, except that it's sad. I just know that when an episode airs with "In Loving Memory of Kim Manners" at the end... I'll probably cry.

I'm such a sap.

[identity profile] not-refined.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
*g* I'm all about spirituality (like you couldn't have guessed I'd be the hippie-dippy type!) and I especially do think the Chinese zodiac is pretty damn accurate! ^_^ But that could be 'cause I'm a little Chinese? IDK.

I am a Fire Rabbit, hehe.

*HUGS* Love you!

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, you're a little everything, aren't you? I like rabbits, but I dunno with one that's on fire. Is it stupid that this little thing has made me go all wistful and stare into my Japanese shadowbox. I'm so suggestible.

*smooshes you*

[identity profile] not-refined.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm the human equivalent of a mutt.

Oh god. Now I have a vision of Sam and Dean roasting a rabbit in the woods in the middle of nowhere. Poor bunny :(

LOL, you've made me want to go and get my Year of the Rabbit necklace out of my jewellery box. Talk about suggestible!

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehe, I want a necklace. Funny, I took that personality test way back when and got Dragon, and now I find out I'm a Tiger. Why do all my 'me's' have big teeth and claws? *ponders*

[identity profile] not-refined.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I got my necklace from this lovely Chinese lady who I buy my green tea from. She gave it to me as a Christmas gift. I'll look out for a tiger next time I'm home ^_^

You look all sharp and mean so that you can protect your less claw-and-teeth-having friends, obviously! Although rabbits can leave a pretty mean scar. ;)

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
LOLZ, I've never had a rabbit scar. Mark me, bb. I so need to be claimed. RAWR!

[identity profile] not-refined.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
*scratches and CLAIMS AS MINE*

I have a scar from a rabbit claw down my arm. You can't see it very well now, but it runs from my wrist almost to my elbow and for a while I got those inevitable "Ever had suicidal thoughts?" questions from random people. *g*

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't it funny how little things like that leave scars? I swear, I have more strange, random marks from cat claws than anything. lol.

[identity profile] samidha.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a Rooster. I'm curious where you got this from since you said it was fairly accurate. :)

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't have the link right on me, but I linked to it off of today's writer's block thingie on the home page.

[identity profile] samidha.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Hrm. I am a metal rooster. I think it would match my personality better if I wasn't a sopping wet trauma victim with chronic pain. ;) But yes... interesting stuff. :)

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, yeah, it's the kinda stuff I always kinda wondered about, but it seemed like such a hassle to figure out, so I never really new.

As for the rest, I guess that's fuel for the nature vs. nurture debate, but I think we can all reach our potential one way or another.

*smooshes*

[identity profile] samidha.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh hell yes. :) I plan to get less screwed up. Hehe.

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahahaha, I don't make plans. I just go with the flow. woohoo!

[identity profile] samidha.livejournal.com 2009-01-26 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehe. Well let me put it this way: if I don't work on getting better (to the extent it's in my control) I will go crazy. And that is not fun. Been there.

I'm a Pig. A Water Pig to be specific. It doesn't sound much like something I want to be though :P

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, "That'll do, Pig."

Have you got any unexplainable urges to... I dunno, herd sheep? Or talk to spiders?

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, sorry. Was just channeling Babe the pig and Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. That was my really bad attempt at making a pun. *headdesk*

[identity profile] smidirini.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
:P It's okay, I got it, I just need to get better at inflecting such knowledge in the tone of my typed words.

Uh huh :D

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
The Tiger is favourite sign among the Chinese, along with the Dragon. And hey, Jensen is a Horse and Jared is a Dog!

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! Jensen is a Horse! Oh God, I so need a ride. Ugh. This calls for a threesome. Hehe.

[identity profile] angels3.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Well Jensen likes horses and Jared likes dogs. Hmmmm the word mounting comes to mind.

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
So dead-on appropriate, isn't it?

Jensen the horse and Jared the Dog (http://www.shannon-dev.ie/media/Media,7568,en.jpg) :)

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
LOL< the dog that's taller than the horse! BWahahahaahaha!

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
There's this other photo I remember seeing of a Sheffield pony and a huge dog, can't remember what type of dog, that really had me cracking but I couldn't find it. In that pic, the dog was kind of looming over the pony, very much like Jared and Jensen :)

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Awww, i needz icons, lol.

Hope the keyboard is alright.

:D

Haha, she's afraid to tell you her screen's now frozen on BustyAsianBabes.com.

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Dean approves, Sam's pissy :))

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hahaha. So true. So long as Dean approves, I'm good. LOL.

I think I'm a rooster.

My husband is a rat (I told him it fit, he was not amused)

The youngest and oldest are dragons and the middle is a monkey.

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
OMG, you have a real live monkey in the middle! I'm highly amused. LOL.

[identity profile] angels3.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yes and let me tell you when she was little it fit. Not only was she so long that when she learned to walk, she threw her hands in the air and resembled an orangutan which we still pick on her for, but she was one of those that bounced on the bed and fell off only to get back up and do it again *rolls eyes*

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like my sister. They brought her home from the hospital when she was born and she proceeded to jump out of my dad's arms. Luckily he caught her by those rubber pants they used to put on babies before everyone started using disposable diapers.

Did you teach her to say "oooh-ooh, ahh-ahh?"

[identity profile] angels3.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
I think that's already and ingrained verbal communication in all kids.

Along with grunting, crying and whining.

[identity profile] tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com 2009-01-27 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
They have tape recordings of me before I talked very much, and I could do every barnyard animal noise you can name. I think my aunts had a gay old time teaching me how to act like a dork. It stuck with me.

That directly preceded my "I'm a Little Teapot" and "Good Ship Lollipop" phases.

*shakes head*
