Thank you TNT for securing the rights to "Renegade." Nightshifter would just not be the same with any other song at the end. This almost but not quite makes up for not getting "Bad Moon Rising."
The song at the end of "Nightshifter" MAKES that scene. No way would it be the same with another song. It would be like subsituting another song for "Silent Lucidity" at the end of "Heart." Just. Not. The. Same.
I totally agree, though I wouldn't even know what song is at the end of Heart. Seems that episode is stuck at the bottom of my list forever. I'm still bummed about Bad Moon Rising, though.

Really? It's kinda in the middle of mine. My all-time favorite (thank you for asking - hee) is Croatoan, though I'm not sure I could express exactly why if asked to explain. :o)
Dunno why I hate Heart so much. Probably because I went into it knowing I was going to hate it. LOL. I'm stubborn like that. But I've never watched it after the original air date.
And Croatoan was just on the other day. I forgot how much I enjoyed that one. I don't know if I can pick a favorite. I wouldn't said Devil's Trap, but when I rewatched it the other week, it was lackluster. Probably because I watched it soooo many times after it originally aired that it was bound to get old. LOL. I'd have to guess "On the Head of a Pin" is my current fave, mythology, angst, whump, AND big reveals. Not much more I could ask for, methinks. Except maybe some kickass music.
I really shouldn't read LJ at work. I just walked into the server room, and belted out in a falsetto, "Oh momma I'm in fear for my life from the long arm of the law!" Really good acoustics in there, BTW.
Yeah, music is very important to me. If it doesn't have the right music to it, it can really wreck the scenes impact entirely.
I remember watching Quantum Leap years ago and there was this scene that was just so beautiful (Song was Georgia) and then I watched it on DVD years later and they obviously didn't get the rights and replaced it (I can't even remember what they replaced it with) and it just didn't have anywhere near the same impact.
So yeah all that babbling was to totally agree that it is very important to keep the songs so the scenes have the same impact. :D
