I really liked this story, in that it was well written and a gread read, though I wasn't crazy about Jared. I didn't find him to be a sympathetic character. You might almost say he was an unreliable narrator. He's bitching in his head about not being able to make up his own mind-- but then when Jensen, who only had one partner in this to begin with while Jared had two-- refuses to fight for him initially, he gets all upset. I guess it's the irrationality and confusion that made him seem real-- but I don't consider him schmoopy.
That's not meant as criticism at all, I hope I'm clear on that-- just an observation by someone who cared enough about the character to read through to the end. I'm glad that even imprefect people can get their happy ending.
