Yeah, I heard so many good things about the Celestine Prophecy. I admit to having bought the book ages ago and never could get into it, but I kept hearing it was amazing. So, I wanted to love the movie, but... no. I think it's a good message, being positive and being open to what's good and beautiful around you instead of focusing on the negativity and violence, but yeah, the way it's presented is ridiculously cheesy.
Erm, KyleXY, also cheesy but in a good way. I actually think the second season was probably the best, although I really liked where the third season was heading right up until the cliffhanger ending that will never be resolved. Yeah, not exactly high quality drama, but entertaining enough for entertainment's sake.
Soul sucking discussions... well, for me, pretty much anything SPN related sucks my soul these days. I have fallen off the wagon big time. Yes, I'm one of those girls. I've grown to dislike every other character except Dean, and I hate the way they treat his story, so I just can't get involved in discussions without either getting enraged or wanting to cry my eyes out. It's best just to stay out of the whole business. But I keep getting sucked in because I watch spoilers in hopes that some morsel of hope might turn up. No such luck, though. But if you're looking to have your soul sucked, just check out most fannish discussions on your go to message boards and comms. If you stick to just fic and art posts, you'll probably be okay, but actual discussion these days always deteriorate quickly.
The steampunk pirate and genius story has been brewing in the back of my mind for about a year or so now. I just haven't sat myself down to try to make it work because I know it will be complicated and require a ton of world-building and research. But lately nothing else is inspiring me, so I'm taking a crack at this one. I think it might just be time for it. And if it is ever finished I'm sure y'all will be the first to know. :D
